Siobhan was introduced to the art of scenic design in 2022 by Professor Brian Redfern. In one course, Siobhan learned how to hand-draft and use Vectorworks 2-D as she created a white model design for a theoretical production of A Raisin in the Sun. The physical environment we place a production in influences the entire emotional world of a show. Siobhan’s focus on authenticity and creativity has helped her develop seemingly living, breathing sets imbued with stunning detail and crystalline direction to enhance the storytelling of the complete team. Siobhan hopes to reinvigorate her passion for set design and even work on some productions once she has more availability.

Costumes are a newer passion, though Siobhan was always inspired by Lily Walls who had costumed her in the past, Siobhan’s first foray into actually costuming a production was in 2024. Siobhan was in charge of dying and distressing a bodysuit to match her makeup design for this is not the reunion’s Drowned Girl. Just short of a year later, Siobhan has begun sewing (hand and machine) and is taking “Costuming Unleashed” as taught by Julane Sullivan and her close friend, Alyson Meyers has made her costuming debut with an amazing production of Heathers the Musical (in which Siobhan played Martha). Being costumed by someone so insightful and inclusive as Alyson made it clear that there are not enough costume designers like that in the world. Siobhan wants to be part of changing that.
Siobhan has started designing several theoretical productions: Les Miserables, Spring Awakening and Don Giovanni to start, through which she has discovered an eye for color and strong intuition for enhancing a diverse set of body types through clothing that compliments, not hides, the silhouette. Adding costume design to Siobhan’s multi-hyphenate label feels just right, and Siobhan cannot wait to continue her journey into this realm.
